Scott Schaefer is the Vice President of Industry Relations at Quality Collision Group (QCG), where he has brought loads of insight into QCG’s industry positioning since joining in April of 2023.
Before joining QCG, Scott Schaefer owned and operated Schaefer Autobody alongside his father, Steve Schaefer, the largest family-owned auto repair brand in the St. Louis Metro. Growing up around the industry with a heavy interest in all things cars, Scott knew what he wanted to do in life at an early age. He spent many a time throughout his teenage years learning the ropes and paying his dues at his father’s auto body shop, sweeping the shop floors and becoming familiar with the shop’s culture. Scott officially joined his father’s business once Schaefer Autobody had 5 locations throughout the St. Louis Metro, with the intention to continue their growth. This is exactly what he helped to accomplish, as Schaefer Autobody was functioning with 14 locations when it sold to QCG in 2023.
Scott enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family in his free time.
